How Do I Love Like I've Never Been Hurt?

Londin Angel Winters  ·  March 2025

This is the question I get asked more than any other. And it is the question I have lived inside for most of my adult life.

When Meli Wolf and Liv Wickedly of Babe Philosophy asked me this, I did not give them a technique. I gave them the truth: loving like you have never been hurt is not about forgetting what happened. It is not about pretending the wounds do not exist. It is about learning to feel everything, the pain, the fear, the longing, the tenderness, without letting any of it close your heart.

That is the Omega path. Not performing openness. Not being "soft" as a strategy. Being willing to let love move through your body without controlling where it goes or how much it costs. Every woman I work with in the Women's Circle knows this territory. You want to open. Something in you is terrified to open. And the practice is learning to stay with both of those truths at the same time.

In this conversation, I share what this has looked like in my own life. How I came to this work not from having it all figured out but from a place of being deeply unmet with love despite having achieved everything else I thought I wanted. How the journey into sacred intimacy required me to throw out everything I believed about what a "strong woman" was supposed to look like. And what I discovered on the other side of that surrender.

I also talk about what it means to love without armor in the context of a real, long-term partnership with Justin. Not as an ideal. As a daily practice that sometimes breaks you open and sometimes just breaks you. And why both of those experiences are part of the path.

If this conversation resonates, our book Playing With Fire contains the complete teaching. The Awakened Woman's Guide to Everlasting Love was written specifically for women walking this path. And the Women's Circle through the Yoga of Intimacy is where we practice this together, live, every month.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you love like you've never been hurt?

Not by forgetting or bypassing past pain, but by developing the capacity to feel everything without letting it close your heart. This is a body-level practice, not a mindset shift. It requires training the nervous system to stay open in the presence of fear, which is what the Yoga of Intimacy teaches through the Omega path.

What is the Omega path?

The Omega path is the practice of radiant, feeling presence: love, desire, devotion, aliveness. It is not about being passive or "soft." It is the creative force that animates life. A woman on the Omega path learns to let love move through her body without managing, performing, or shutting down. Londin Angel Winters teaches the Omega path through the Women's Circle.

How do you stay open after heartbreak?

You practice. Not once, but daily. The body learns to associate vulnerability with danger after heartbreak. Rewiring that response requires consistent, supported practice where the body can experience openness and find that it is safe. The Women's Circle and the partner practices in Playing With Fire are designed specifically for this.
